Epoxy flooring is usually ready for light foot traffic within 12 to 24 hours. However, full curing—when the epoxy completely hardens—takes up to 72 hours, depending on temperature & humidity levels.
Yes, once fully cured, epoxy flooring is waterproof. It creates a seamless, non-porous surface that resists water, humidity, and most liquids. This makes it ideal for garages, shower walls, and even outdoor surfaces.
Epoxy flooring lasts between 10 to 20 years, depending on thickness, usage, and maintenance. It outperforms painted concrete, which chips and wears quickly in high-traffic areas.
Epoxy resin can withstand continuous temperatures up to 45°C and occasional exposure up to 70°C. However, temperatures between 20°C and 90°C may affect its molecular structure over time.
For a durable finish, at least two coats of epoxy are recommended. Each coat should dry for 12 to 48 hours before applying the next. A primer coat is often needed for the best adhesion and longevity.
